LBC History Our chorus was born on November 28, 1960, and was named the Middlesex Chorus. Bob Carter was the director from those beginnings and continued until September, 1964 when Barbara Farrell took the helm and continued for the next 2 years. Under Barbara's leadership, the chorus was chartered on August 24th, 1965. Patricia Malone served as director after Barbara and continued until Dick Chacos took the lead in November, 1971. Dick continued until November, 1977 and during his tenure, the chorus's name was changed to the current Liberty Belle Chorus on June 20, 1972. When Dick stepped down in November, 1977, our current director, Barbara Braxten, accepted the position and the rest is history...
