Our Coaches
Liberty Belle Chorus has the privilege to work with many wonderful coaches. Our coaches all bring out the best in us and also make us work hard while having fun doing what we all love to do - sing! 
Jim Arns Master Director 700 Jim Arns has been the director of the Melodeers Chorus of Northbrook, IL since 1988 to the present. Under his direction, the Melodeers have won 5 International Gold Medals and their name is synonymous with Barbershop Excellence. In addition to directing the Melodeers, Jim has built an international reputation as director, arranger and coach and has served as faculty at many regional, national and international educational symposiums. Jim earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Benedictine University and his Masters Degree from Northwestern University. He is in great demand as both a coach for both choruses and quartets and we are thrilled and grateful to have him as our coach.
 Ann Gooch Master Director Ann Gooch has directed the Jacksonville Harmony Show Chorus in Jacksonville, FL since 1975. Under her direction, the Jacksonville Chorus has earned the privilege of competing at International 4 times and has also won the title of International Mid-size Chorus Champions. Ann is a past president of Sweet Adelines International, is on the International Faculty and is a Certified International Music Judge. Ann has been a long time friend and coach for LBC and we always look forward to our Saturday sessions with her.  Lynne Smith Sweet Adelines Certified Showmanship Educator Lynne Smith is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm who helps us find our Inner Diva in a big way! She offers a wide variety of courses on all aspects of performance: choreography, creating a character, MC-ing skills, creating an image for a chorus or a quartet, and more. Lynne is the choreographer for the Harborlites Chorus in Anaheim, California and she travels all over the country as a coach, sharing her creativity and insight with many quartets and choruses. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have her share her wonderful talents with us. |
